Opened on Earth Day in 1998, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the largest theme park in the world (and one of the most imaginative).  Part zoological park and part theme park, Animal Kingdom’s giant artificial baobab tree (called the Tree of Life) is full of intricate carvings of the animal world and is home to the It’s a Bugs Life attraction.  At night, Awakenings, a night time show tells stories about the animal world at regular intervals.

With lands that include a safari (Africa themed Harambe village), Asia, Discovery Island, the Oasis and Rafiki’s Planet Watch, the most popular area is also the newest land, Pandora:  The World of Avatar, which is home to some of the most popular attractions (Navi River Journeys and Flight of Passage).

Dinoland USA is one of the most creative lands in all of Disney lore with an entire land built around a gas station, turned paleontological dig, turned theme park!
