D23:  THE OFFICIAL DISNEY FAN CLUB

D23 is the official fan club for Disney fans.  Established in 2009, it was given its name D, for Disney, and 23 for 1923, the year the Walt Disney Company was founded.

Membership has 2 levels, both of which can be found on the D23 website.

General Membership

The first level of membership is free and open to anyone.  With a free membership, you will receive emails from D23 about all things Disney and small list of discounts.

Gold Membership

There is a Gold Membership which costs $99.99 USD per year for individuals (with shipping works out to $220 CAD), and $129.99 for a Gold Family membership.  Gold members receive additional benefits such as invitations to exclusive events, a substantially larger list of discounts, and a special gift.

D23 Biennial Convention

Every 2 years, D23 holds a huge convention at the Anaheim Convention Center where thousands of fans go to learn about the future projects of the company.   The next convention has been scheduled for September 9-11, 2022 at the Anaheim Convention Center. 

​

The convention has panel discussions on its studio operations and theme parks, which are among its most highly anticipated presentations, where movie and theme park announcements are made.   In 2019, the D23 Convention included information on Disney+, EPCOT Overhaul, and a panel with the actors from The Simpsons.  In 2022, the D23 Convention will include details on how the Walt Disney Company plans to celebrates its 100th Anniversary.
