There have been quite a few merchandise releases over the past few weeks and they seem to keep coming. With that, ShopDisney appears to be experiencing a backlog in processing orders.
For instance, I have a ShopDisney partial order (with items such as the Fantasia 80th key pin and Stitch Christmas pin still showing as available on their website), with only a single item shipping days ago and received last week.
Another order is a Fantasia 80th Key and Lilo and Stitch pin, both of which are showing in stock on ShopDisney ordered 5 days ago that has yet to ship.
And the issue is not just a ShopDisney thing. The Disney Studio Store Hollywood did online pin releases on October 26th and November 2nd, with my order from the 26th shipping earlier today (the dates for shipping for that release were November 11-18th so they got it shipped just under the wire).
As Black Friday and holiday shopping begins in just 10 days, it's going to be important for the backlog to be cleared to start handling the full Christmas rush.
In light of the fact that there is a pandemic making shipping a little harder than in previous years, they do deserve some slack but that said, they are going to have to better plan to be able to handle the increased seasonal shopping about to come its way.
